[At the Casagrande's apartment, Carlota is live]
Carlota: "Morning! Carlota here. I'm gearing up for a long-awaited mother-daughter day and I need your help deciding on the perfect look." [Picks up some dresses, not knowing Carl is making kissy faces in the background] "Cute and casual? Or perfect daughter preppy? Vote now." [The poll starts. Suddenly Carl pops up in front of Carlota and prepares to moon her viewers. Carlota gasps, shocked] "Carl!"
[Stops the camera. She growls at Carl who does an evil laugh. Carlota throws the pink dress in his face and he runs into a wall. Meanwhile, Carlos is getting breakfast ready when Frida comes up wearing a green sweater]
Frida: "Mi amor, I'm trying to decide what to wear. What about this?" [Her sweater has a photo of Carlota as a baby] Too much?"
Carlos: "Oh, a sweatshirt with little Carlota on it."
Frida: "Isn't it cute? I made one for all mis bebes."
[Takes off the sweater and is wearing a matching one with baby CJ, another of baby Carl, and another with Carlitos' ultrasound. She takes the ultrasound sweater off and is somehow wearing baby Carlota under it]
Carlos: [Awkwardly chuckles] "Might be a tad too much."
Frida: [Sighs] "I know, you're right. It's just that our day together means so much to me. My baby's growing so fast and she's been so busy lately. Soon she'll be a grown-up with a career and family and my mija won't have time for mama." [Starts sobbing, which gets on the sweater] "Aye! I soaked Carlota."
[The real Carlota comes out in her regular outfit]
Carlota: "Okay, I'm cute, casual and ready to go. What's up with mom?"
Frida: "Nothing." [Spins away the tears, and the sweater] "Just my morning cry, I'm so excited for our girl's day." [Takes Carlos] "Goodbye, mis amores." [She and Carlos kiss] "You sure you'll be okay watching the boys?"
Carlos: [Confident] "Frida, please."
[Suddenly they duck under a plastic elote cob. Carl runs by with his blaster, CJ chasing him with his inflatable sword]
CJ: "I'm coming for you, Carl!"
[Carlitos rides by on Lalo. the women leave]
Carlos: [Getting nervous] "Oh, it's fine. It's fine. You two just relax and have fun I've got the boys under control." [Gets blasted by fake lava. Carl and CJ laugh while holding a model volcano. Then Lalo and Carlitos trample Carlos. Carlos calls out the window] "Just be back by three, por favor."

[Later, Carlota and Frida are at the art gallery]
Frida: "I thought we'd start with a sneak peek of my exhibit before it opens tomorrow."
[Romeo is taking photos of Frida's art]
Romeo: "Hola, chica, I was just about to call you. I want to post some publicity photos for your show but I can't decide which pieces to post."
Frida: "Aye, it's so hard to choose between all my babies. What do you think, Carlota?"
Carlota: [Vlogging] "Hey, art lovers, I'm coming to you live with a sneak peek of Frida Casagrande's latest show. Which piece do you like best? [Goes to the art pieces. Shows a torta that looks like Hector] "This portrait of a torta abuelo?" [Goes to a sculpture of a steam train made with Carl's underwear] "Or Choo-choo chonies?"
Frida: [Goes to Carlota] "Uh, Mija. I didn't say all your followers could get a sneak peek."
[The polls close]
Carlota: "The people have spoken! choo-choo chonies!"
[Brings her madre in for a selfie with the sculpture. Carlota looks cute but Frida looks sleepy]

[Later, they are at the Goddess Greens restaurant]
Carlota: "I've been dying to try this place! How did you even get a res?!"
Frida: "Oh, it only took me five months, no big deal. So, what should we order? Oh, you know what looks good?"
Carlota: [Vlogging again] "Hey y'all I'm at Goddess Greens where everything looks so yum. Should we get the Venus Salad or the Aphrodite Wrap?"
[Puts her phone down as the waiter arrives]
Waiter: "What'll it be?"
Frida: "I was thinking…"
Carlota: "The votes are in! One aphrodite, please." [Gets something on her phone] "Oh and two dirt smoothies eating dirt is so trendy right now."
[The waiter nods, takes their menus and leaves. He returns with the wrap and the two smoothies]
Waiter: "Enjoy your meal."
Frida: "Oh this looks amazing. Should we ask your fans which side of the wrap I should have?"
[The two laugh at Frida's joke]
Carlota: "Very funny, Mom." [Get an alert] "They said the left." [Picks up the left half and prepares to eat, suddenly Carlota takes it and Frida ends up cracking her teeth while shutting her jaws] "Just a sec, I need a quick pic." [Aranges the stuff on the table] "Almost. Quite. Perfect." [Shoves Frida's head towards the smoothie, Frida sips] "Mom, I need that for the background spit that dirt out." [Does so] "That's better." [Takes the photo, Frida getting annoyed, but Carlota doesn't notice] "Wow that came out great." [Frida sighs and tries to eat the roll] "Oh, no time, we're going to be late for our hair appointment."
Frida: [Tries to take the roll] "But…"

[Later, they are at Margarita's. Carlota getting a mousse and blowdry]
Carlota: "Wow, I'm getting so many likes on our lunch."
Frida: "I would have liked a bite of it."
Carlota: "Yeah, all done, what do you think?"
[Carlota has a lot of volume now]
Frida: [Gasps] Carlota, you look so… Ah."
[Ducks under Carlota's selfie stick. Carlota takes numerous selfies of her new hairstyle]
Carlota: [Starts posting] "Obsessed with my new do for Margarita's salon new hair vibes got me like."
[Gets lots of hearts]
Frida: "Got you like what?"
[No one knows the answer to that]
Margarita: "Frida, your turn, what would you like?"
Frida: "Oh the usual just a little trim."
Carlota: [Sneaks a before shot of Frida] "Mom, no. The usual is so last year." [Asks her followers] "What hairstyle should my super cool mom get today?"
Frida: "Aye, no. I don't need…"
Carlota: [Her followers having spoken] "Ooh, it's unanimous. Bangs!"
[Margarita takes out her scissors and Frida gets nervous. Outside her hair is covering her face]
Frida: "Ah, I can't even see with these things."
Carlota: "Who needs to see when you look like a supermodel?" [Takes out her phone] "Say cheese."
Frida: [Not wanting to be photographed right now] "No, Carlota, don't you dare."
[Tries to grab the phone]
Carlota: "Just one, they want an after picture."
Frida: [Really annoyed] "Give me that celéfono."
[Dives for it, Carlota evades her and Frida ends up headfirst in a trashcan which tips over]
Carlota: "Mom, are you okay?"
Frida: [Brushes the banana peel off her head] "Do I look okay?!" [Sighs and takes the hair out of her face] "Mija, I was really looking forward to today. I hardly even see you anymore I don't want to share what little time we have with your followers."
Carlota: "Mom, I'm sorry. I thought we were having fun. Here, take my phone, from now on I'm all yours."
Frida: [Touched, takes the phone] "Oh, thank you mi amor." [They hug] "Mom and daughter vibes got me like." [Makes a goofy pose] "Hashtag."
Carlota: "Okay, let's just go to the spa."

[Later, they are at the spa]
Hostess: "Welcome to… Ah, That Feels Good spa. Here's your day pass to uninterrupted relaxation."
[There is a vibration in Frida's purse]
Frida: "Oh, that must be all your followers wondering where you went."
Carlota: "Yeah, sorry."
Frida: [Digs into her purse] "Let's just turn it off. Wait it's my phone?" [Frida has sixteen missed calls from Romeo]
Carlota: "Everything okay?"
Frida: [Laughs] "Fine, just sixteen little messages they can wait."
[They put on their day passes and the hostess gives them robes]
Hostess: "You can change into your robes here and head into the steam room."
Frida: "Great I'll just use the dressing room."
Hostess: "Oh that's a…" [Frida goes in] "..locker."
[Inside the locker, Frida calls Romeo]
Romeo: "Finally, I've been texting you all day. Your exhibit's gone viral, I need you on your phone responding to fans."
Frida: [Who took away Carlota's phone] "On my phone. when?"
Romeo: "Now! The show's tomorrow and social media engagement boosts sales."
Frida: "Right. It's just that, today is not really good for me."
Romeo: "Chica, chica, chica, one is only viral but for a moment. You must seize the opportunity and more importantly your phone. Art life."
Frida: [Sighs] "Art life."

[In the steam room]
Carlota: [Loving the steam] "Ah, that feels good." [Sees the sign] "Oh now I get the name."
[Frida's phone buzzes again. She takes it out and notices she's sitting next to the output control]
Frida: "Uh, yes, I love steam in fact let's turn it up. Mas. Mas."
[Turns it all the way up. The room gets really steamy]
Carlota: "Uh, Mom I can't see anything."
Frida: [Texting] "Great. Uh, I mean, who needs to see when you feel this good?"
Carlota: [Feels around] "Is this the door?"
Woman: "That's my face."
[The two frizzy-haired ladies exit the steam room and shake it out]
Carlota: "What should we do next? The arctic chill room? The meditation room?"
[Thinks. Frida gets more notifications]
Frida: "Aye, so many messages." [Carlota heard that] "I mean massages let's get a massage."
Carlota: "Oh, okay that sounds nice."
[Frida takes Carlota and puts her on the table]
Frida: "One deluxe!" [The masseuse steps onto Carlota's back] "Take your time."
[Frida gets texting and the masseuse gets stomping]
Carlota: "Wait, what? Are those feet?"
[Starts yelping in pain]

[Later Frida and Carlota are in the mud bath]
Carlota: "Wow, the first hour of that massage was pretty painful but I got into it. How was yours?"
Frida: "The same, painfully relaxing."
[Her phone vibrates again]
Carlota: [Starting to get suspicious] "What is that noise?"
Frida: "Uh, nothing."
[Splashes mud in Carlota's face and puts two hot rocks in her eyes]
Carlota: [Cries in pain] "That's hot!"
Frida: "Heat is good for your complexion." [Reads Romeo's message] "Call me ASAP?"
Carlota: "What?"
Frida: "Uh, call me a sap for not doing this sooner."
Carlota: "Adult slang is so weird. Anyway, this is mad chill I forgot how much I heart spending time with you."
[Frida has just finished a mud replica of herself and leaves it for Carlota while she goes back into the changing room, does up her robe, and calls Romeo]
Romeo: "Frida, your social media engagement is working. That sparkle guy from the news wants to do a live stream interview with you right now. Andale."
Frida: [Gasps] "Jim Sparkletooth? Right now?" [Cries joyful tears] "I'm so humbled and nervous."
Romeo: "Just be yourself, I'll send you the link. Break a leg, amiga."
[Frida gets ready. Back in the mudbath]
Carlota: [Still thinks her madre is with her] "So then we broke up again and he cried a lot. But I really need to focus on my vlog right now. You are such a good listener." [Doesn't get a response] "Mom?" [Takes the rocks out of her eyes] "Mom?" [The mud around the fake Frida's eyes starts to melt] "Oh, Mom, don't cry." [Hugs the mud replica and screams in horror when the head falls off] "Ah! Mom!" [Suddenly, Carlota hears her madre laughing in the changing room] "Huh?"
[Carlota enters in time to see her madre's interview]
Frida: "The pleasure is all mine."
[Carlota gasps]
Jim: "Our art-loving viewers want to know what is your inspiration."
Frida: [Not seeing her angry hija] "Oh, I would have to say, my family. I wouldn't be able to create without their constant love and support."
Carlota: "Mom, you're on your phone?! You're such a hypocrite!"
Frida: "And there's my loving daughter, now."
Jim: "Ooh, can we interview her?"
Frida: "Uh, no! Gotta go! Please buy my art!"
[Hangs up and sighs. She looks at Carlota]
Carlota: "Have you been on your phone this entire time?"
Frida: "Not the entire time. I'm not on the phone right now. Okay fine, I was."
Carlota: "After you took mine?"
Frida: "That's different, I was using my phone for my art. It's important that I respond to my fans."
Carlota: "Well, I use my phone for vlogging and that's really important to me." [Sighs] "Forget it you don't understand. I'm just gonna go home."
Frida: "No, you're right. Vlogging is how you express yourself and that's no less important than my art, I didn't realize it until this moment but social media is your paintbrush." [Gives Carlota her phone back] "Perdoname, maybe your fans can vote on whether or not you should forgive me."
[Starts crying]
Carlota: "Mom, I'm sorry too I was kind of overdoing it." [Looks at her phone in her hands] "I don't even want this." [Gives it back] "It was actually nice disconnecting for a while. I wish we had time for a do-over."
Frida: "Me too, but it's almost three and I don't think your father can handle the boys for much longer." [Sees the mud] "Unless…"

[Back at the apartment]
Carlos: "Carl! CJ!" [The place is a mess] "I told you no water slides in the bathroom!"
[The boys slide across the floor anyway then gasp and get up]
Carl: "Oops, sorry Mom. Didn't know you were back."
CJ: "We'll clean up this mess."
[They are talking to two more mud replicas of their madre and hermana]
Carlos: [Shows up, tied up] "You get back in there and…"
[Slips in their waterslide and splatters the replicas]
Carl: "Dad, what have you done to mom and Carlota?"
[Everyone starts freaking out. Meanwhile, the real Frida and Carlota are on the roof relaxing in a kiddie pool]
Frida: "Did you hear something?"
Carlota: "I don't think so."
[They get back to relaxing]
