[The bell rings at Chavez Academy, Sid is at her locker, and sees Ronnie Anne walking by, wearing her clothes backwards]
Sid: [Laughs] "Whatever you're doing it's hilarious."
Ronnie Anne: "It's the backwards challenge." [bumps into Casey's locker, and takes her hood off] "Hey Casey. Or should I say yesaC yeh. That's 'hey Casey' backwards."
Casey: "Oh yeah, the backwards challenge, I did that a few months ago and I fell into a fountain at the mall. Now it's all about the inchworm challenge."
[Laird comes inching by, doing said challenge]
Laird: "I love this challenge." [He keeps inching, and gets his face stuck in gum] "Oh, ugh, who put gum here?"
[Laird tries to pull himself free, but he's stuck. Ronnie Anne fixes her clothes, and the bell goes off again, she, Casey, and Sid take off, followed by more students, Laird gets trampled]
Laird: "Ow."

[Later, Sameer is trying to drink a milkshake, with a slice of cake in it]
Sameer: "It's called a cake shake, you plant a slice of cake into your milkshake, it's delicious, but hard to drink."
Ronnie Anne: [Looking at her phone] "Cool, but have you tried that restaurant where all the waiters are monkeys?"
[Shows a photo]
Nikki: "Oh, Monkey Business? That place closed," [holds up her sleeve] "some guy had his finger bit off."
[Nikki takes her hand out of her sleeve, and Sameer tries to drink the shake right out of the cup, and belches up a candle]
Sameer: "Guess this was a birthday cake." [Whispers to the candle] "I wish I was taller." [Blows it out]

[Later, Ronnie Anne comes up to Becky in the hall]
Ronnie Anne: "Hey Becky, did you know Yoon Kwan's dropping a solo album next week?"
Becky: "I heard it last night, so good."
Ronnie Anne: "What do you mean? It doesn't come out until Tuesday."
Becky: "Oh, Yoon had an early listening party in an old beef factory, amazing album, surprised you didn't hear about it."
Ronnie Anne: [Nervous and sweaty] "Oh, uh, I did, I was just super busy. Hey! Have you heard about this new inchworm challenge? [Ronnie Anne acts like an inchworm.] Gu... Gu... Gua."
Becky: "Apparently that trend is so this morning. Now, it's all about the SCREAM EVERYTHING CHALLENGE!!!!"
[Laird slides in.]
Laird: "I LOVE TRENDS! AM I DOING IT RIGHT?!" [School bell rings. Laird gets trampled again.] "...Why? I mean... WHY?!"

[Back at the Casagrande apartment, Carlos is reading the newspaper, Arturo, Sergio and Carl are doing a jigsaw puzzle. Bobby comes in listening to his headphones, and sees his hermana, face down on the table]
Bobby: "Uh-oh, what's wrong little sis?"
Ronnie Anne: [Sighs] "When we lived in Royal Woods, I was up to date on all the latest stuff. But, ever since we moved I can't keep up, these city kids know everything."
Bobby: "Well maybe I can help out, I'll tell you what's really hot in the mercado right now; boiled peanuts."
[Ronnie Anne thinks]
Carlos: "If you ask me, it's two words; cargo, pants, so many pockets." [Carlos has many things in his cargo pants pockets]
Arturo: "I know what's cool Ronita, hanging with papa."
Sergio: "Wrong, it's all about ankle bracelets." [Sergio has four, one of which is metal, screwed on, and beeping with a red light]
Carl: "Nah, now it's all about donating to new charities." [Takes out a jar with his face on it] "Like the Carl fund."
Ronnie Anne: "Thanks guys, but, it's hopeless I'll just give up on trying to be cool."
[Just then, Carlota walks in]
Carlota: [On the phone] "Yeah Sophia, I was at that new elevator lunch spot, you stop on every floor and each time the door opens, you get another appetizer." [Laughs, Ronnie Anne gets an idea] "Okay, I'll talk to you later."
Ronnie Anne: [Sits with Carlota] "Carlota, you're cool. Can you get me up to speed on all of the latest... everything?"
Carlota: [Gasps with excitement] "I thought you'd never ask, prima."
Carlos: "Has anyone seen Carlitos? I haven't seen him all day." [Just then, Carlitos comes out of one of Carlos' pockets, eating an apple. Carlos is startled, and picks him up] "Carlitos, there you are." [Laughs]

[Later, Carlota and Ronnie Anne are in Carlota's room]
Carlota: [Looking at her phone] "Hmm, let me see what's happening. Ooh, there's a photo op at the froyo museum, some kind of popup churro bracelet stand," [gasps] "and a fun five K run, and that pizza shark meme is hilarious, LOL plus laugh/cry emoji, and just, let me text back these twelve people, real quick."
[Carlota speed texts everyone, the emojis are flying out of her phone]
Ronnie Anne: "Wow, I can't even talk as fast as you text." [Carlota texts so fast her phone catches on fire, she blows it out] "This day is gonna be so awesome."

[Later, they are at the popup churro bracelet stand. Carlota takes the churros and gives one to Ronnie Anne, she then bends her's into a bracelet, Ronnie Anne does the same, and takes a selfie. Later, they are finishing the 'Pool Floatie 5K' they break the tape at the end, while wearing pool floaties. They bump floaties to celebrate and Ronnie Anne takes another selfie. Later, they are at a hair salon]
Ronnie Anne: "Are we gonna get trendy new hairdos?"
Carlota: "I had something better in mind."
[She knocks on the mirror, and it moves down revealing a shoe salesman, who gives Ronnie Anne some new sneakers]
Ronnie Anne: "Woah, this is where you buy shoes? So cool." [Later, they are on the GLART] "We're heading the wrong way home."
Carlota: "Just wait, trust me."
[Out of nowhere, a dance party starts]
Ronnie Anne: "A popup subway dance party? No way!"
[Ronnie Anne takes another selfie]

[The next day at school, Ronnie Anne is bragging to her friends, showing them the photo of the churro bracelets]
Ronnie Anne: "Yeah, they were by far the best churros I've ever had."
Casey: "I'm super jealous, that sounds like the sickest day ever."
Nikki: "I'm sorry, I wasn't listening, I'm obsessed with your shoes, so cool."
[Admires Ronnie Anne's sneakers]
Sameer: [Takes some confetti off Ronnie Anne's shoe] "Woah, what's that?"
Ronnie Anne: "Oh, that must be some confetti left over from the surprise dance party on the GLART train last night."
[All her friends ooh in amazement]
Sameer: "Geez Ronnie Anne, how'd you find out about all this awesome stuff going on?"
Casey: "Yeah, you're like The Queen of Cool."
Ronnie Anne: "Well, I don't know about that."
Sameer: "So what are you doing this weekend?"
Ronnie Anne: "Uh, I don't know, but something cool will probably come up."
Laird: [Comes out of nowhere] "ARE WE STILL YELLING!?!" [The gang covers their ears] "Sorry, I knew that was too loud." [Walks away] "Come on Laird, get it together."

[Early Saturday morning, Ronnie Anne enters the living room, and walks up to Lalo and Carl]
Ronnie Anne: [Yawns] "Morning, Lalo. Morning, Carl. Morning, Casey, Sameer, Nikki, and Sid." [Ronnie Anne shakes her head realizing that her friends are here] "Ah!" [Quickly fixes her hair] "Oh, hi guys, uh, what are you doing here?"
Nikki: "We were hoping to hang out with The Queen of Cool. Is that okay?"
Sid: "I just need to be out of the house, I helped my mom give some lemurs haircuts, and they were not happy, it's best if I'm gone for a while."
Casey: "So, can we tag along?"
Sameer: "We wanna see all the cool new stuff you're checking out."
Carl: "Pssh, cool new stuff, the only cool thing about Ronnie Anne is her cousin Carl."
[Ronnie Anne pushes Carl from the armrest onto Lalo, who gets scared and runs away with Carl on his back]
Ronnie Anne: "Um, see, the thing is, I'm not sure today really works."
[Her friends are bummed to hear that]
Nikki: "That's a bummer, cause we canceled all of our plans."
Ronnie Anne: "Um, okay, you guys can tag along. Let me just go check my calendar to see what's on deck." [Runs off, to Carlota's room] "Carlota, help, do you know of anything cool going on today?"
[Unfortunately for her, Carlota is doing a live stream]
Carlota: "Today, I am gonna show you how to paint the perfect nails with my lovely volunteer, Sergio."
Sergio: [With pink claws, squawks] "About time I got my nails did."
Carlota: [notices Ronnie Anne] "I'm so sorry, I'm live right now."
Ronnie Anne: "Sorry."
[Closes the door. Meanwhile, Carl is trying to swindle Ronnie Anne's friends]
Carl: [Wearing a 'Carl Fund' sign] "The Carl Fund is what all the cool kids are donating their allowance to. It goes to worthy causes like recreation, appearance, snacks."
Ronnie Anne: [Enters; deadpan] "Seriously, Carl?"
Carl: [Scoffs] "Haters gonna hate."
Nikki: "So what's our first hotspot?"
[The word echoes in Ronnie Anne's head, as she nervously looks at all her friends staring at her]
Ronnie Anne: "Oh, oh, uh, it's a surprise. Follow me."
[She starts to leave, but yelps and stops as soon as she sees a lemur in the doorway, with a reverse mohawk. He is holding a razor and displays an angry look towards Sid, who nervously laughs]

[Later, the gang are walking along the sidewalk, Sid with half her head shaved.]
Nikki: "I can't wait to see where we're heading."
Sameer: "It's gonna be sweet." [Dabs]
Casey: "Wait, is doing that still cool? It's probably old by now."
Nikki: "What's the new move, Ronnie Anne?"
Ronnie Anne: [Stops] "Oh, uh, everybody's uh..." [Notices Big Tony and Little Sal trying to poop] "Squatting." [Does so]
Casey: "Oh, awesome."
[The other all squat too, as Vito and his dogs walk past and leave.]
Sid: "It feels unnatural, but, I like it."
Nikki: "Are we gonna eat soon? I'm starving."
Casey: "Me too. Any trendy new foods to check out?"
Ronnie Anne: "Obviously." [Looks around, they are right in front of a pizza parlor] "Oh, here's our first stop."

[Inside, the chef is tossing the dough]
Ronnie Anne: [To her friends] "Just uh, hang here for a sec." [Goes to the pizza chef] "I'm trying to impress my friends. What's the hot topping right now?"
Pizza Chef: "Eh, jalapeños. They're hot."
Ronnie Anne: "Ugh, never mind." [Goes back to her friends] "We should get going."
Nikki: "We didn't even order anything."
Ronnie Anne: "Oh, people don't come here for the food, they come to see him. That chef is secretly a famous artist." [The chef drops the pizza he's making, picks it up, and continues tossing it] "He was telling me about his next project, but I can't really talk about it."
Sameer: "That's so cool."
Sid: "Oh look, he must be thinking about his next project right now." [Now the pizza chef is scratching his butt with the pizza peel, and uses it to take the pizza out of the oven. Sid's friends are revolted] "How much for a slice?"

[Back at the mercado, Bobby is devouring the can of baked peanuts. Ronnie Anne and her friends come in.]
Ronnie Anne: [Looks around, whispering to herself] "Trendy food, trendy food, okay, gotta find something." [Goes over to the freezer] "Okay, take this." [Grabs an ice cream cone] "And one of these." [Puts a sardine on it, followed by syrup] "And voila!" [Brings it to her friends] "Sardine sundae, gonna be huge this year."
[The sardines eye falls out]
Sid: "I'll try it." [Licks it] "Not the worst thing I've eaten."
[Offers it to Nikki]
Nikki: "I think I'll sit this one out."
[Sid offers it to Casey]
Casey: "Yeah, I'll just get some chips."
Ronnie Anne: "Your loss, be right back. [Goes behind some shelves, takes out her phone and starts typing] "Come on Carlota, I need you." [A few beeps] "Yes! She responded." [Reads the text] "Secret party, abandoned subway tunnel. Perfect!" [Returns to her friends] "Sorry about that. I just heard about a super exclusive day party."
Sameer: "That's what I'm talking about. Squat!"
[The gang squats and waddles away]

[Later, they're at the abandoned subway tunnel]
Casey: "Uh, are you sure there's a party down there?"
Ronnie Anne: "My source texted me saying the party just started. It's gonna be lit!"
[Ronnie Anne goes down, her friends follow, unsure. Meanwhile, Carlota is in her room, fixing her eyebrows, when she gets a text from Ronnie Anne]
Carlota: [Reads the text] "Thanks Carlota, we found the secret subway party." [Gasps, and calls Ronnie Anne] "That's not right."
Ronnie Anne's Voice Message: "Hey it's Ronnie Anne, beep, that was me saying beep, here's the real beep."
[The real beep]
Carlota: "Hey, I didn't mean to text 'abandoned subway tunnel', I meant there's a band in South Bay Tower. My bad. Have fun!"
[Hangs up.]

[Meanwhile, Ronnie Anne and her friends are walking through the subway tunnel with their cell phone flashlights on]
Nikki: "This must be some exclusive party."
Casey: "I gotta invite my primo." [Tries to use his phone] "Ugh, I got no service down here."
[Sameer and Sid try their phones]
Sameer: "Me neither."
Sid: "I got nothing."
Ronnie Anne: "It's probably why they had the party down here. Don't want too many people finding out about it. You know?"
Sameer: "Makes sense. I can't wait! Squat!"
[They all squat and continue on]
Casey: "Are we doing the move right? We don't wanna look lame at the party."
Ronnie Anne: "Uh, yeah. All good."
Sid: "I hope we're close. My legs are getting sore from being this cool."
[Suddenly a dark shape whooshes by, the gang yelps and huddle together, putting all their cellphone flashlights together, and look around. They shine their light into an adjacent tunnel, the shape whooshes by again, the kids shudder in fear. The shape reveals itself and the kids scream]
All Five: "Ah! Rats!"
[They make a run for the exit, the rats chasing them in the form of a snapping alligator]
Nikki: [To Ronnie Anne while running] "So, are rats the cool new thing at parties?"
Ronnie Anne: "No, definitely not!"
[They scream as the swarm of rats abducts the gang. Outside the tunnel, the rats escape, and leave the kids at the entrance. Sameer gets up and looks down at his foot]
Sameer: [Sees a rat eating his shoe] "Aah!" [Nikki quickly pulls him away. The rat eats the shoe whole, and walks away satisfied. Nikki sighs with relief, followed by the others] "I almost lost my foot." [Wiggles his toes, He Ronnie Anne and Sid sigh] "That was my favorite shoe."
Ronnie Anne: "Guys, I have a confession to make; I'm actually not the Queen of Cool. Carlota's been telling me about all of the latest stuff, including this party that we can't seem to find. The truth is, I'm so two weeks ago. I get it if you don't wanna hang out anymore."
Casey: "Are you kidding? We don't care if you know about all the latest trends."
Nikki: "Yeah. We've always thought you were awesome."
Ronnie Anne: "Really?"
Sameer: "Duh. You're the only one who doesn't faint at the sight of blood."
Nikki: "And you're hilarious."
Sid: [Puts her arm around Ronnie Anne] "And an amazing friend."
[They all hug]
Ronnie Anne: "Thanks, I'm lucky to have you guys."
Sid: "Let's celebrate with sardine sundaes!"
[The gang is revolted by the idea.]

[The next day, at Chavez Academy, Ronnie Anne and her friends are hanging out by the lockers]
Kid: [Offscreen] "Squat!"
[A number of students waddle past in squat position]
Ronnie Anne: "What's that all about?"
Nikki: "Apparently some kids saw us squatting and it caught on."
Laird: [Appears, also squatting] "Hey Ronnie Anne, I heard you're the OS, original squatter. Respect." [Tries to get up] "Okay, I can't get up."
Sid: "I guess you're the Queen of Cool after all."
[The gang shares a laugh, squat, and waddle away]
Laird: "Wait, guys! You can't just leave me like this." [Sighs] "Can this day get any worse?"
[The bell rings, and the Chavez soccer team approaches Laird, causing him to scream.]
